By car from Denver, you can be in the high altitude escape of Taos, NM in fewer than five hours. Taos, a unique town with a remarkable history, has all the makings of great weekend getaway. Contained in its confines are great restaurants serving delicious food, beautiful artisan crafts and skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer.
