Take a California Bar Crawl at Redondo Beach Pier |
Tony’s on the Pier
Enjoy an old school cocktail vibe? Tony’s is the place. This restaurant and bar takes a prominent spot on the pier (you can’t miss Tony’s giant neon sign) and provides a great place to sip cocktails while watching the sunset. The restaurant opened in 1952 and the second story bar with 360 degree views of the pier and Pacific Ocean was built a decade later. Tony’s is most famous for the Mai Tai and its sister drink the Fire Chief. The Mai Tai is light rum, special dark rum and fruit juices while the Fire Chief is the Mai Tai with an added splash of Grenadine and a 151 Rum float for extra potency. The price of both drinks includes a Tony’s souvenir glass. Happy Hour is Monday through Thursday from 3 to 7 PM at the bar only and features a special food menu and $1.50 off all alcoholic beverages. Pair the Mai Tai with tasty Ceviche made with the fish of the day and fresh tortilla chips. (210 Fisherman’s Wharf; 310-374-1442)
