Roscoe’s (8105 SE Stark St.; 503-255-0049) 2 of 4
Roscoe’s is a beer bar. It loves beer and so does its patrons. Young groups of friends gather around tables, laughing loudly, as regulars both young and old huddle around the bar. In this bar though, with its hometown feel, pool tables and exposed brick walls, the patrons are getting drunk off of well-made local ales and lagers.
They have liquor too but if you’re looking to those clear bottles for a buzz you’re selling yourself short. Pull up to the bar and grab a paper beer list or check the chalkboard. If you’re somewhat adventurous you’ll love the variety, such as Mother Pucker, a raspberry sour by Caldera, or Mikkeller AK Alive of Denmark, an Alaskan wild ale.
Tips: Roscoe’s has an a webcam, not doubt an old Christmas present from Mom, mounted above the chalkboard beer list so you can check online when the taps change. When you’re hungry you can order sushi from Miyamoto, located just around the corner on 81st Avenue, to eat in the bar.
Keep heading east up start to the next bar, Over and Out.
