Widmer Brothers Brrbon ‘13
For the fourth year, Widmer has released its barrel-aged Brrrbon series as a part of the brewery’s reserve series. Three versions are available:Barrel-Aged Brrrbon ‘13 (9.5% ABV), Vanilla Barrel-Aged Brrrbon ’13 (10.7% ABV) and Ginger Barrel-Aged Brrrbon ‘13 (10.7% ABV). Brrrbon ‘13 is aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels for a couple of months and is spin on Widmer’s Brrr seasonal ale. Whole vanilla beans and fresh ginger were added to additional barrels to make the other two selections of Brrbon. Not doubt about it, these barrel-aged winter warmers are tremendous as vintages or paired with bourbon.
