Much Like Winter, Game of Thrones Wine Is Coming

Winter is coming, and so is wine from Game of Thrones. Entertainment Weekly reports that HBO and Game of Thrones are preparing to release their own line of wines, made in conjunction with Vintage Wine Estates in Santa Rosa, CA. The line will consist of a chardonnay, a cabernet sauvignon, and a red blend.

This isn’t the first time Game of Thrones has produced alcohol inspired by the show’s many drunken characters (most notably the members of the Lannister family) — earlier this year, the company partnered with Brewery Ommegang to release a line of Game of Thrones themed beers. Considering its most popular character’s famous indulgence in wine, the only surprise is that it’s taken them this long to produce some. The wines are set to be released in 2017, so you can have them for your very own red (wine) wedding.
