Driftwood Room Debuts New Artisan-Inspired Cocktail Menu Featuring Four Portland Purveyors
The Driftwood Room at Hotel DeLuxe is rolling out its new artisan-inspired cocktail menu called "Mixed In PDX." The new menu will feature four of Portland’s too-hot-to-trot companies, Salt & Straw, Steven Smith Teamaker, Bee Local honey and Jacobsen Salt Company. Ooh, we love what you're doin' to us. sweet thing...err we mean Driftwood Room. You’re too hot to stop.
Check out these cocktails now, before everyone in the city is already buzzing about them. The “Mixed in PDX” menu will be available through summer.
The Driftwood Sazerac ($11) featuring Smith Teamaker
Smith Teamaker hibiscus tea simple syrup with Pacifique Absinthe, Bulleit Rye and Angostura and Peychaud bitters are combined for this rendition of the classic Sazerac.
Floating Straw ($10) featuring Salt & Straw
A scoop of Sea Salt ice cream with caramel ribbon is paired with the Black Butte Porter from Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery for an adult-style float.
Local Honey ($12) featuring Bee Local
Shaken and served up with a garnish of honeycomb, it’s made from Aria gin, Farigoule wild thyme liqueur, Bee Local honey and fresh lemon juice.
Ghost in the Machine ($11) featuring Jacobsen’s Sea Salt
Volstead (House Spirits Distillery) and Hot Monkey (New Deal Distillery) vodkas, Aperol, blood orange and grapefruit juices, fresh lemon juice, basil simple syrup are prepared in a glass rimmed with Jacobsen Smoked Ghost Chili Salt.
