Departure
“Top Chef” contestant Gregory Gourdet helms the pan-Asian cuisine program at Departure, the restaurant and bar atop the historical Meier & Frank building, now home to the Nines Hotel. Departure offers two separate patios, one for seated diners with tables and servers, and the other for general seating, standing, and lounging. The latter often has long waits for the bar, which can be a bit expensive, but it’s worth it for the amazing view of downtown, the Willamette, bridges, and south-east.
