Metrovino Hosts Red vs. White Wine Battle, January 27
Do you pass the wine menu to your more knowledgeable friends at dinner because you can't remember if pork goes with red or white wine? If you've ever had a difficult time deciding which wine to pair with your dinner, head to Metrovino for a wine pairing lesson with Montinore Estate.
Unlike many wineries, this Willamette Valley vineyard has split production of red and white wines between two different vitners. At 4 PM on Sunday, January 27, Ben Thomas (Montinore's white wine master) and Stephen Webber (king of the reds) will use their specialized wine knowledge to help describe how to get the most out of wine and food pairings.
For just $45, you can enjoy chef Dustin See's five-course tasting menu along with 10 wine pairings. More than the food and drink, after this dinner you'll enjoy a new sense of confidence when someone hands you the wine list at your next dinner party. Call ahead to reserve your seat and be prepared to quesiton all you thought you knew about the rules of wine pairing.
