Where to Watch: Election Night Parties and Drink Specials in Denver
On Election Day (Tuesday, November 6), Americans across the country participate in the important action of casting votes for candidates from President to local elected offices. On Election Night, Americans across the country participate in the national pastime of watching talking heads trying to keep you interested as results dribble in. What better way to pass the time than with a couple of drinks? Make sure you vote (find out where), and then afterwards head to one of these bars where you can keep abreast of the latest poll news with a brew, wine or cocktail in hand.
Breckenridge Brewery & Pub: Election coverage will play at the brewpub on various TVs with sound for R’s and D’s alike.
Cheeky Monk: “Hop the vote” at this Belgian beer bar by choosing to purchase the gnome (Houblon Choffe), the troll (Cuvée des Trolls), the pirate (Piraat) or the saint (St. Bernardus) and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate.
Denver Beer Co.: Though there are no TVs at the brewpub, anyone wearing an “I Voted” sticker will receive $1 off drafts.
Govnr's Park: The Southwest tavern will be showing the results on TV along with Svedka Red, White and Blue cocktails for $6 each.
Shells and Sauce: The Congress Park Italian will run Election Night happy hour from 9–10 PM.
Stoney’s Bar and Grill: Election coverage will be on TVs with sound all day long, accompanied by red, white and blue shot specials. The first 250 people to come in wearing an “I Voted” sticker will get a pint of beer on the house.
The Three Lions: The Colfax pub will offer $3.50 Coors Lights (20 oz.) and $5.50 Carlsbergs (20 oz.) in addition to regular 3–7 PM and 10 PM–midnight happy hours, so you can toast the results as they roll in, or, alternately, drink your sorrows away.
Trillium: Swing into this Ballpark Scandinavian wearing an “I Voted” sticker and you’ll score yourself a free glass of bubbly.
The Walnut Room: Come in to the pizzeria wearing your “I Voted” sticker for a complimentary draft brew.
