Saraveza and Portland Beer Week Host Fresh Hops Workshop, Sept. 22
Summer’s over, but there are two reasons to be happy: the sun is still here in full force, and it’s hop harvest season! On Saturday, September 22, Portland Beer Week is teaming up with Saraveza to hold a Fresh Hops Workshop at Saraveza’s Bad Habit Room.
For your $10.50 entrance fee, you’ll be treated to a slew of brewing and hop-related knowledge, via discussion and hand-on examples with several top brewers. You’ll meet Jamie Floyd, founder/brewer at Ninkasi Brewing; Gayle Goschie, hop farmer and owner of Goschie Farms; Charlie Devereux, co-owner at Double Mountain Brewing ; Jim Solberg, co-owner at Indie Hops; Ben Edmunds, brewmaster at Breakside Brewery and Tom Bleigh, brewmaster at Hopworks Urban Brewery.
Free snacks will be served, and four of the first fresh hop beers of the year will be available for purchase. Satisfy your hop urges with Ninkasi Total Crystalation, Double Mountain Killer Green, Hopworks IPX: The Freshmaker and Breakside Wet Hop Simcoe Pale Ale.
Tickets are limited, only 50 will be sold, so head over and save your spot today.
