Drink Pink at Rose in the Rose City, June 14
June in Portland means the return of sunshine and roses — and the city's most famous celebration, the Rose Festival. On June 14, Rosé in the Rose City, an officially sanctioned Rose Festival event, will bring 18 North Willamette Valley wineries to Portland for an afternoon of summer sipping.
Though the sometimes underappreciated rosé (featured varieties will range broadly from sweet to dry) certainly be the star, other summer varietals such as Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and sparkling wine will be available to taste as well, along with exclusive, limited-edition tastings.
The event takes place at Montgomery Park (2701 NW Vaughn St., Portland) on Thursday, June 14 from 5–8 PM. Tickets are $25, and include wine tastings, light food pairings and a commemorative wine glass.
If you settle on a favorie pink drink, take it home with you--wines will be available to purchase in any assortment by the bottle or the case with special event discounts.
Rosé in the Rose City participants include:
Abbey Creek Vineyard
A Blooming Hill Vineyard
Apolloni Vineyards
