Updated: Burnside Brewery Postpones May 15 Release
UPDATE: Due to some people taking offense to the original name for the beer (as making light of a revered Hindu goddess), Burnside has announced that the release is postponed until a new moniker can be agreed upon and developed. The wait continues.

Burnside Brewery is known for its time commitment to unfiltered beer, so you can imagine the anticipation when one finally drops. Burnside has confirmed the release of Kali-Ma in 150 very limited one-liter Magnum swing-top bottles. Burnside says that “Kali-Ma is inspired by the Hindu goddess and her tribute in the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.”
The new brew is an Imperial wheat ale (8.6% ABV) made from toasted cardamom, cumin spices, fenugreek, and apricot, and will also flow on tap at the brewpub starting May 15 at 6 PM. Head over to the Eastside to catch some before it disappears.
