Breakside Brewery 2nd Anniversary Party, May 12
It’s been a full two years since the Northeast Quadrant welcomed Breakside Brewery, and the rapidly growing operations is celebrating with a free block party bash. On Saturday, May 12, head over to Woodlawn to enjoy live music, special-release beers and eats right off the grill (manned by an assortment of area chefs) from 1–8 PM.
In addition to the regular tap lineup in the pub, 10 or so more brews will be available outside, including a wheat ale aged in bourbon barrels, a gin barrel-aged version of Summer Golden, a passion fruit Berlinerweisse and many other unusual offerings. Also expect to see “birthday beers” on hand from Upright, Burnside, Widmer Brothers and The Commons. Tickets for the beerfest are $15 for a tasting glass with five drink tickets, and all food is pay as you go. Catch you on Dekum.
UPDATE: Breakside released info on some specific drafts to look for, including barrel-aged Stout of Monte Fisto (Upright), Kali-Ma (Burnside), Bene Tibi (The Commons) and Cynical CDA (10 Barrel). Yum.
