35 Wineries Descend on Downtown at Mountains to Metro, April 19

35 Wineries Descend on Downtown at Mountains to Metro, April 19

Oregon is home to hundreds of fantastic wineries and vineyards, but we Portlanders usually must venture into the countryside to find them. On Thursday, April 19, however, more 35 of the state’s best vintners will descend on the Heritage Ballroom inside downtown’s Governor Hotel for Mountains to Metro.

If the name doesn’t quite ring a bell, it’s because this event, presented by the Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers, was formerly known as “Pinot in the Pearl.” (Not to be confused with Pinot in the City, which was put on by Willamette Valley Wineries and took place in the Pearl last year. So many great urban wine events, so little time).

Wines from the jaw-dropping Chehalem Mountains AVA — a 100-square-mile viticultural area on Portland's doorstep —will be showcased. The all-inclusive ticket allows guests to enjoy fine regional restaurant fare as well as signature tastings. Bottles of wine will be available to purchase to go.

Mountains to Metro attendees who want to extend the event into a staycation can receive 20% off reservation rates at the Governor Hotel the night of the event. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online.
