Join Prost! for Kolsch Fest on Saturday, June 17
On Saturday, June 17, Prost! will celebrate the ultimate summer German beer by replacing all its taps with different Kölsch ales. A style of beer made in Köln (Cologne) that is similar to a light lager, Kölsch is actually an ale, with a light hoppy bitterness and a zesty effervescence. Prost! will be keeping with tradition by offering Stange (or pole) glasses, the traditional beer glass for Kölsch in Cologne that holds .2 liters of beer. The small sized glasses are intentional, urging drinkers imbibe quickly so not to let the beer get warm and lose its light effervescence. Additionally, guests can also order a Kranz (or wreath) of Kölsch, a traditional carousel-style beer carrier that fits up to 11 stanges.
