Portland International Beerfest Returns this June
In Portland we love two things: Great beer and our pets. With that in mind, it is time to announce the 2017 Portland International Beerfest (PIB) will happen June 23-25 at Pearl North Park. Enjoy a beer garden serving tasty beers from all over the world and help local animal shelters and organizations.
The PIB showcases classic and hard-to-find beers and ciders in an outdoor beer garden along with tasty food tents. The number and kinds of beers and breweries are too numerous to list, but there are guaranteed to be some special brews available. Also back this year is the Pie Joust. The rules are easy: Throw more whipped cream in someone else’s face then they get on yours. Sign up is free, but there are only 64 spots each day of the event. All jousters will be free New Belgium swag.
Tickets are $25 for regular entry and includes 15 beer tix and the PIB tasting glass and wristband. Extra beer tix are $1 each. Beers will cost between one and seven tix depending on the type of beer. Tickets at the gate are also $25 (cash only), but guests will only get 10 beer tix.
Special this year is the The Big Deal entry. Cost is $35 per person, but those patrons will receive 30 beer tix, that’s 15 extra tix! Non-beer drinkers are welcome to attend (21 and over only), but if you don’t have a wristband and tasting glass, you won’t get served. Dogs are welcome!
The event runs from 4 to 10 PM on Friday, June 23, noon to 10 PM on Saturday, June 24, and Noon to 7 PM on Sunday, June 25. Tickets can be purchased online here. Visit the website to see the full beer list.
