Jacqueline is Hosting a 'Shipwreck' Pop-Up, March 26-28

Bartender Eric Steven Nelson is moving from his current bar position at the seafood focused bistro Jacqueline back to his home at the Laurelhurst Market. But, before he does so, he has launched an exciting pop-up at Jacqueline, called Shipwreck, March 26 through the 28th. He’s joined by chef Jacob Stevens (recently chef de cuisine at Beast) and Chef Eve Kuttemann (Castagna, Trifecta Tavern, and more) for three evenings of cocktails and seafood.

“Shipwreck is basically all the things I would want to eat and drink if I was stranded on an island,” says Nelson, “You ever play that game where you list the things you'd want if you were stuck somewhere? This is my list of food, drink, and music.”

The menu reads like creative, upscale versions of yacht drinks. Standouts include a Piña Colada with pineapple rum, mezcal, Ancho Reyes, coconut cream, pineapple, cream, coffee, and salt, as well as the Acid Tongue, with Martin Miller's Westbourne Strength Gin, Campari, vanilla, blood orange sorbet, lemon, and Sanbitter. Of course, you can always just grab a Budweiser if you’d rather.

Food is fishy and fun, and you won’t want to miss the Tom Yum Popcorn Shrimp with fried kaffir lime leaves and hot sauce, or the fried fish sandwich. Hours are 5 PM - 10 PM both nights, and Jacqueline’s regular dinner service will be suspended on Tuesday evening.
