Celebrate Wine & The Women of Marvel at Pairings Portland Wine Shop, March 23-26

Pairings Portland Wine Shop is unconventional, to say the least. While it offers wines expertly paired with foods, it also offers more nebulous pairings, such as songs, astrological signs, or fictional characters. This weekend, Thursday March 23 through Sunday March 26, join the fun with wines made by female winemakers paired with the kick-ass ladies of Marvel Comics.

For $25, enjoy eight wines paired to women of Marvel: Captain Marvel, Mystique, Black Widow, X-23, Storm, Jean Grey, Gamora, and Wasp will all be present in vino form. The details on the  bottles have yet to be released, but Pairings offers many “living wines”, which  include organic, biodynamic, and all natural wines, often from Europe or Oregon. Expect fun, geeky wines made by women that will evoke the nature of your favorite Marvel heroines.

The event has no set time, but guests can stop in anytime during business hours to sample the flight and talk comics and wine.
