This week, starting on Monday, July 25 and ending the following Monday, August 1, bars and restaurants across Portland are participating in a Pok Pok Som cocktail competition. Each bar or restaurant is using a selection of Pok Pok’s drinking vinegars, made for sodas, drinks, or sipping. Guests are encouraged to try each of these six cocktails around town and vote for their favorites.

The List:

Ox/Whey Bar: Amores Perros
Vida Mescal, Altos Silver Tequila, Campari, Tamarind Som, Fresh Watermelon Juice, Lime, with an Espelette, Sugar, Salt Rim

Paydirt: Som Kinda Love
Buddha Hand Som, Laird's Applejack, Torani Amer, Angostura bitters, Ardbeg Scotch whisky

Old Gold: Slide Whistle
Aviation Gin, Tamarind Som, Agave, Lemon Juice, Vida Mescal

SouthPark Seafood: Sommer Sour
Brandy, Ginger Som, Egg White, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup.

NEPO 42:  Pineapple Som Cocktail
Aria gin, Pineapple Som, Anderson Valley Briney Melon Gose, Lemon Peel, Pickled Watermelon Rind.

Departure: Som Mule
Tamarind Som, Hangar One Makrut Lime Vodka, Cock N’ Bull Ginger Beer
