Celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day in Midtown Village, Nov. 19

This coming Thursday, November 19, marks the release of this year’s batch of Beaujolais Nouveau, and lucky for you, Midtown Village has provided a full-neighborhood celebration to enjoy this young wine.

Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran’s three adjacent restaurants - Barbuzzo, Jamonera, and Lolita - will all be running Beaujolais-centric specials, like $7 glasses at both Barbuzzo and Jamonera and $20 Beaujolais sangria pitchers at Lolita. They’ll also offer wine focused food specials, like a “winemaker’s board” at Barbuzzo (a selection of cured meats and snacks for $15) and Beaujolais braised pork shoulder with assorted snacks for $10 at Jamonera.

Turney and Safran’s retail spots will be offering deals as well, with Verde, Open House, and Marcie Blaine Artisanal Chocolates all offering 20% off with complimentary tastings of everything from the wine itself to Beaujolais truffles.

Vintage Wine Bar will also join in the fun and offer complimentary pours and snacks, along with live music from Beau Django. Other participating bars include McGillin’s Olde Ale House, TIME, Franky Bradley’s, and Bar.

The 13th Street festival will run from 5-8 PM, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the French Red Cross.
