If you are unfamiliar with Teutonic Wines, Barnaby and Olga Tuttle manage vineyards in several outlying Oregon AVAs, all sustainably-farmed and non-irrigated. They use wild yeast propagated from each site, and their winemaking is generally non-interventional. The style is often Germanic, reflecting Barnaby’s deep love of the Mosel region while still evoking Oregon’s terroir. Lower in ABV, higher in acid, and aged in neutral oak, Teutonic wines are perfect to pair with food. Varietals include pinot noir, riesling, gewürztraminer, and more.
