Drink Away the Boggarts at Toronto's New Harry Potter-Themed Bar
It’s called The Lockhart, named after Harry’s fraudulent Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Allusions to the beloved book series are scattered throughout the bar, from the stag-emblazoned entrance to the clever list of “Potions & Elixirs”, which includes a cucumber-infused gin and tonic (The Botanist).
If you’re advanced in your potions study, the bar serves a Jalapeño Death Shot for $5 that "is not recommended for human consumption.” The Befuddlement Draft—an amalgam of spirits that’s more than earned its namesake—will help you and your friends forget a harrowing run-in with some dementors. Just don’t try to operate a broomstick after you’ve had one.
The Lockhart also offers a short tapas menu, which includes irresistible finger foods like gourmet popcorn and deep-fried jalapeño mac and cheese sliders — all 100% safe for muggle consumption.
