Where to Celebrate Mardi Gras 2015 in Philadelphia

The Christian season of Lent is quickly approaching. But let’s not rush those 40 chocolate and porn free days. We still have one big Fat Tuesday to look forward to. So grab a bag full of beads, throw on something glittery and bring your carnival spirit to one of these great places.

Bourbon Blue
Bourbon Blue has all of your Mardi Gras essentials, from beads, masks, and live entertainment featuring Kyle Herring and Hot-D. They’ll also be serving up hurricane drink specials all night. Live music starts at 7 PM. (2 Rector St.; 215-508-3360)

Bridget Foy’s

Catahoula
Start celebrating early with an Abita Tap Takeover, special cocktails, and New Orleans inspired food specials from now until the 16th. On the 17th, join Catahoula for a night of beads and gifts. (775 S Front St.; 215-271-9300)

Chris’ Jazz Cafe

Copabanana

From 5 PM on, the Reading Terminal Market bar will serve $4 Abita and Soco and Lime shots. There will also be a DJ. (1150 Filbert St.; 215-629-1520)

Interstate Draft House
Interstate’s Fat Tuesday party starts at 7 PM with $5 Hurricanes, $4 Drafts and $1 Po-Boy Sliders. Masks and beads will be provided. (1235 E. Palmer St.; 267-455-0045)

McGillin’s Olde Ale House
An Irish Bar? Why not?
