Follow Grapes from Seed to Bottle in New Film 'A Year in Champagne'
Champagne: a sparkling wine from the Champagne region of France, or as it's better known, the bubbly drink we toast with during times of celebration. Dive into the history of your favorite mimosa ingredient with 'A Year in Champagne.'
David Kennard’s film explores the story of the Champagne region and the “magical transformation” of grapes into champagne with just the right amount of bubbles in each bottle. Renowned wine importer Martine Saunier is your on-screen guide to all things champagne. The film gives viewers a rare look at the winemaking process by going behind the scenes at six different houses, from independent vintners to the big guys, such as Gosset and Bollinger.
'A Year in Champagne' is the second in a series of three wine films, following 'A Year In Burgundy.' 'A Year In Port' is expected to be released sometime in the near future.
The film is being released in select theaters and on iTunes on March 6, 2015. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think on Twitter or Facebook.
