What's Open on Christmas Day In and Around Denver

Christmas is a time for families, friends and togetherness, but that doesn’t mean you and all your relatives have to spend the day cooped up in the house. After all the presents are opened and the carols are sung, get up, get out and enjoy a day on the town. Here are a few places that will be open on Christmas Day.

The Bark Bar:  Release the hounds! The Bark Bar is open 5 to 10 PM Christmas Day. Enjoy Buy One, Get One cans of beer all night. (4132 W. 38th Ave.; 720-550-6970)

Highland Tap and Burger: While this popular Highlands burger joint will be closed Christmas Eve, the doors open again at 5 PM Christmas Day for an evening of drinking after celebrating the holiday. The bar is full service with plenty of beers and craft cocktails, while the kitchen is serving the late night menu only. (2219 W 32nd Ave.; 720-287-4493)

Kachina Southwestern GrillKachina, a part of the Westin Westminster, will be serving a “Pioneer Christmas Menu” featuring Pork Posle, Chicken Tinga Tostadas, Smoked Ham and Herb Crested Prime Rib. Dinner will be served family style and is $45 for adults, $15 for kids. There will also be a special holiday cocktail and wine list to accompany the dinner. Service is from 11:30 AM–9 PM. P17Chef Mary Nguyen’s restaurant will offer a special holiday menu with full bar service. The restaurant is open from noon until 10 PM. (1600 E 17th Ave.; 303-399-0988)

RangeRange will be serving brunch from 7–11 AM. From Noon to 6 PM Range will offer a special four-course holiday dinner for $50 for adults and $30 for kids aged 6-12. Kids menu will also be available. Add a special Range cocktail or bottle of wine to complete the meal. (918 17th St.; 720-726-4800)

Second Home Kitchen + Bar: Second Home located in the J.W. Marriott in Cherry Creek will offer two holiday dining experiences. The PJ Brunch is for the family and kids eight and under wearing PJs eat for free. The Brunch is from 7 AM to 2 PM and features DIY Bloody Marys and bottomless Mimosas. Then, from 4–8 PM is the Holiday Dinner featuring a selection of small plates and entrees along with a full service bar. (150 Clayton Ln.; 303-253-3000)

Sonoma’z Wine Bar & Grill: Somona’z is offering a Christmas Brunch that is $32.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids. Pair it with a special bottle from the restaurant’s extensive wine list. (10345 Park Meadows Dr.; 303-728-6000)

The Corner OfficeThe Corner Office is taking a cue from A Christmas Story and offering a “Chinese Christmas” menu from 12 to 9 PM. Dishes will include Beef and Broccoli, Shrimp Toast, Kung Pao Chicken and Pork Fried Rice. The restaurant’s regular menu and full service bar will also be available. (1401 Curtis St.; 303-825-6500)

The Nickel: Located in the Hotel Teatro, The Nickel will be open for regular hours on Christmas, 11 AM to 10 PM, but will feature a holiday brunch in the morning followed by regular dinner and bar service in the evening. (1100 14th St.; 720-889-2128)

ViewHouse: Both locations of the ViewHouse will open the doors at 5 PM Christmas Day to greet guests for a low-key holiday dinner. The regular menu will be available along with craft cocktails, wine and beer. (Ballpark, 2015 Market St.; and Centennial, 7101 S. Clinton St.)
