Experience more than 130 saké varieties and learn how to pair them with different styles of food at at the Saké Fest PDX on June 26 from 6:30 - 9 PM. Once you’ve learned a thing or two about saké and plum wine you’ll be able to pair the rice wine with more than sushi. Oh, the possibilities!
The evening will start with a Kigami Biraki, a traditional barrel breaking ceremony meaning “welcome and good luck”. (Bring a towel, it’s gonna get wet!), and a brief performance by Portland Taiko, celebrating their 20th anniversary.
Saké will be provided by Oregon producers; Glide Beverage, Moonstone, Momokawa Saké, Rogue Ales, and SakéOne. And producers from all over the world including Momokawa Saké, Sake Story, and SakéMoto, just to name a few.
Food will be provided by Bamboo Grove Hawaiian Grille, Batch PDX, Biwa, Genki-Su Japanese Drinking Vinegar, Sok Sab Bai, Uwajimaya, Yakuza, Yama Sushi & Saké Bar, plus many other purveyors.
Tickets are $50 per person
in advance online; $60 at the door (Adults 21 and older only).
