Because Beer Isn't For Everyone: Now There's an All-Nude Wine Festival, Too
From the same folks who brought us the country’s first clothes-free craft beer fest comes what may be the first all-nude wine festival. Because, you know, beer isn’t for everyone.
Like it’s much-hyped big beer blowout on June 28, Sunny Rest Resort’s forthcoming Bare Vine Wine Fest will require its goers to drop trou to gain admittance. It’s coming up later this summer on Saturday, August 16.
The 190 acre resort located in Pennsylvania’s Poconos has pools, hot tubs, tennis and volleyball courts, and tons of nature trails for hiking and biking in the buff. Accommodations for overnight guests include cabins, campgrounds and a lodge. For those who like an au naturel drink, Sunny Rest offers Streakers Bar and Flashers Nightclub.
Guests are welcomed to wear a robe, towel or even pants and a shirt almost anywhere on the nudist get-away’s grounds, but there’s a strict birthday suits-only dress code for the wine fest.
Tickets run $18 in advance and $20 the day of the event. Along with admission and unlimited samples of wine from producers near and far, the ticket includes a free day’s admission to Sunny Rest Resort. Fest goers can also take advantage of discounts on rooms and campsites.
If you go, remember to pack the high-SPF sunscreen. Nothing ruins a nude wine fest faster than an unplanned wiener roast.
