Celebrate the 140th Kentucky Derby at Portland Meadows on May 3, starting at 7 AM (Don’t act like you’ve never tailgated that early). Watch and wager on the races at Churchill Downs starting at 7:30 AM Portland time.

Wear your fanciest hat! Goorin Bros. will be at the track to crown the winner of the Goorin Bros. Ladies Hat Contest. You’ll have to register for the contest at the company's booth. Don’t forget to check out the hats Goorin Bros will have for sale. We’re not sure if you can win by buying one of its hats but hey, might be worth trying?

Check out the outdoor party tent for food, booze and betting machines. Under the big, white tent you’ll also be able to purchase cigars from NW Cigars, Inc. So dapper. From 1 - 4 PM the Kung Pao Chickens will perform live music.

Portland Meadows is known for its mint julep. Special for this event, mint juleps will be served in a “Derby 140” glass to commemorate the day.
