While Hollywood Spirits does have an impressive selection, no spot in the city compares to The Meadow’s array of artisanal bitters, vermouths, quinquinas, aperitifs and other fortified wines. Just a short walk from Bull in China, The Meadow on Mississippi is a tiny speciality shop focused on bitters, vermouth, salt, chocolate and flowers. Besides the necessary bar ingredients, you can also find a large slab of salt for cooking upon, or a lovely bar of imported chocolate. (3731 N Mississippi Ave.; 503-288-4633)
