Best of Drink Portland: 2012 Highlights

2012 was the inaugural year for Drink Portland, and it was a great one. We talked about beer, wine, cocktails and where to find the best of everything. Here’s a recap of the top 10 moments from 2012. Cheers to all for an even better 2013.

Drink Portland Launch Party at Mellow Mushroom — At the end of May, after being in beta mode for a month or so, we hosted an official launch party and opened up the site to everyone. It was a blast, and we raised money for CreativeCares too.

Where to Watch: Portland Bars Showing the Presidential Debates — Watching Obama and Romney talk past each other was a popular drinking pastime in Portland this year. The popularity of this article you love politics, as long as you have a drink in hand.

Fall Preview: 7 Openings & Reopenings in Portland — The second half of the year brought a slew of great openings and revamps to bars all over town.

10 Best Portland Bars for Summer — While we’ll have to wait a few months for this roundup to be useful again, it’s worth a glance just to vicariously bring back the sun and the summer temps. We’ll get there again soon.

Last Wednesday Southeast Slow Ride — Bicycling and beer, two great Portland standbys, got together for these popular monthly rides. Here’s to starting them up again in 2013.
