Baltimore Bartenders' Guild Hosts First Fundraiser, Feb 26

There’s a steadily rising, steadily growing crop of great bartenders in our city, and near the end of 2011, they decided it was high time to band together to form the official Baltimore Bartenders’ Guild. With B&O American Brasserie’s Brendan Dorr serving as president, John Reusing of Bad Decisions as VP and a "who’s who behind the stick" making up the other half-dozen founding members, this is a group from whom we expect to hear (and look forward to hearing) quite a bit.

The first rumblings come in the form of a fundraiser, benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland. Set for Sunday, February 26, the event will showcase sips made with Bulleit Rye, beer and wine selections and small bites from B&O, Woodberry Kitchen and Ten Ten. Each BBG member will prepare a signature Bulleit cocktail, which will be judged by a panels of guests that includes The Brewer’s Art’s Dave Newman, WBAL’s Laurie Foster and Owen Thomson of the DC Craft Bartenders Guild.

Tickets to the 6–9 PM event at B&O Brasserie are available online now for $80 per person.
