Birroteca Hosts Winter Swish With Local Food, Beers, and Spirits, Feb. 27

While we hardly need any excuses for leisurely day drinking, we’re fairly certain that escaping the cold on winter weekends is one of the best reasons to hunker down and get your day-drink on. This weekend, Baltimore’s Birroteca may be the ideal spot to do just that.
 
Continuing the seasonal Swish series, Birroteca will be hosting the Winter Swish event on Saturday, February 27, from 12–4 PM. With a focus on the best of the mid-Atlantic, local spirits (including vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, and brandy) and brews will be available for unlimited tastings alongside specialty cocktails.
 
Since day-drinking done right necessarily involves some sustenance too, the kitchen will also be preparing a host of regional dishes. Whole Roasted Rockfish with salsa verde and braised winter greens, oyster stew, coddies, and Gunpowder Farms Bison Cheek Agnoletti in a mushroom ragu will all be on the menu, as will Smith Island Cake for those who want something sweet while they swill.
 
Featured breweries include Evolution Craft Brewing, Full Tilt, Union Craft Brewing, Burley Oak and Dogfish Head Collaboration, 3 Stars, DC Brau, Duclaw, Heavy Seas, Victory, and more. Featured distilleries for the event include Baltimore Whiskey Company, Louthan Distilling, Catoctin Creek, One Eight Distilling, Manatawny Still Works, and more.
