Labor Day Weekend Events in Portland

If you work in the industry you may not be off on Monday, but the good news is there are events happening all weekend long in Portland. Whether it’s beer or soccer or grilled cheese and beer, you’ll be able to get your drink on.

Friday, August 29 - Sunday August 31
Sour Beer Summit at Roscoe’sRoscoe's will host the Sour Beer Summit celebrating tart, sour, and wild beer on Friday August 29 beginning at 2 PM and ending Sunday August 31. The 14 sour beers on tap will surely make you pucker up in a good way. (8105 SE Stark St.; 503-255-0049)

Saturday - Monday, August 30 - Sept. 1

Art in the Pearl at Pearl District’s North Park Blocks: Buzzed shopping is the best shopping. If you need more art in your life head to Art in the Pearl, one of the top art festivals in the nation. The event is free and requires no ticket for entry. Wander through the booths, beer in hand, and find that new print to complete your collection. (Between W Burnside and NW Glisan at NW 8th Avenue)

Saturday, August 30

Lompoc Brewing's Soccer in the Timbers Corporate Cup Finals at Providence Field: Lompoc Soccer is in the Men’s Competitive Championship finals of the Portland Timbers Corporate Cup against Nike Magista’s. The championship match will take place at 10 AM at Providence Park. Tickets are only $5 and you can bring your own food! There will also be discounted beer, wine and cocktails available for purchase. Root on Lompoc! Proceeds from tickets benefit Portland Timbers Community Fund. (1844 SW Morrison Street)

Grilled Cheese Invitational at EastBurnYou know what goes really well with grilled cheese during the summer months? That’s right, beer! As part of its month-long August grilled cheese fundraiser for the Portland Womens’ Crisis Line, EastBurn is hosting nine contestants for a grilled cheese competition to be judged by the public in attendance. Tickets are $20 per person. (1800 E. Burnside St.; 503-236-2876)
Monday, September 1 
Bike Parade and Release Party starting at Hopworks Urban BreweryHop on your bike for the release of Hopwork's newest brew, Skidmore Western Lager. Skidmore Western Lager is a specialty collab beer that will be featured as Beer of the Month at Henry’s Tavern during September. The bike parade will leave Hopworks at 12 PM, led by Cycle Portland Bike Tours. The HUB folks will be at Henry’s at 1 PM with awesome HUB giveaways. Can't make the bike parade?
